Should You Date During A Break Up?

This is a subject that is disagreed by many men and women, and it is even disfavored by a few expert relationship counselors as being "sound" advice. This is considered advanced stuff here, but according to the experts, you can make a lot of headway if you start dating during a break up.
This might rub you the wrong way.
If you are disagreeing with this strategy, allow us to explain...
What goes through most folks minds is the thought that if their ex sees them dating someone else, they "think" that their ex will NEVER take them back. That ANY chance of rekindling their relationship will be destroyed.
That is actually the furthest thing from the truth. You see, history and psychology have both proven the following:
- Humans are wired to pursue what they can't have
- Humans DESIRE what is scarce
- Men & Women BOTH love a challenge
- Women want men other women want
- You don't know what you have till it's gone
- You WILL be more confident
- You might even feel a little better about yourself
- You will feel some stress relief aside from sitting around at home
- You MIGHT decide you don't want your ex back after all!
- You MAY just find a wonderful person that fulfills your needs
We understand that the REASONS behind dating during a break up is not to replace your ex. But can you understand the logic behind dating during a break up?
It really frustrates and makes some folks mad when the advice they're given is to get out and date when they are in love with someone else.
We get it though... it's okay. You REALLY want your ex back.
So if the ends justifies the means, would it make sense that with all the history and psychology that surrounds dating make sense that it would improve your odds tremendously if you were to just go out on a few dates for the simple purpose of getting out, and TRYING to have some stress relieving social get together type fun?
You'll not be sitting at home being depressed or lonely... desperate and waiting for a call... or even worse... calling them to let them know how lonely and miserable you are without them. That's the biggest mistake so many people make during a break up that will only push your ex farther away and make you appear needy.
That won't get them back at all.
NO! What that does is make them pull away FAST!
We realize how scary the dating game can be especially if you've been out of the "game" for a while. Especially in our age and time today.
You need to be careful.
But the best way to get back in the groove again...
is to just get out there and do it!
